Simply getting married means receiving a blessing. It is a time just for the two of you to celebrate your love. A special moment: a dignified celebration, with God’s blessing. Simple and without lengthy preparations.
The Evangelische Versöhnungskirchengemeinde Völklingen, in collaboration with the World Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte, is offering the opportunity to have a church wedding or blessing at the ‘Paradise’ area within the World Heritage Site Völklinger Hütte on Saturday, 27 June 2026, between 11 am and 4 pm!
Two people who love each other; who decide to share their lives together; who receive God’s blessing; whose love is celebrated in a special ceremony: that, and so much more, is a church wedding! And on 27 June in Völklingen, it’s as simple as that!
Here’s how it works: a brief chat with the pastor is followed by a small but lovely wedding service. It hasn’t yet been decided whether there will be live music or whether songs can be chosen from a playlist.
Advance registration is possible, but not required.
Couples who are not (yet) married in a civil ceremony or who have already been married in a church ceremony are warmly invited to receive a blessing.
