Description

The first artwork on the route of the 2026 Urban Art Biennale invites visitors to view their own and subsequent artistic perspectives from the angle of decision-making processes: the over 70 stone slabs resting on the floor of the Brennerbühne, each engraved with terms from the large-scale installation, form a kind of oversized mind map. Architecture of Decision-Making translates a graphic by the Munich-based artist Leonhard Rothmoser into three-dimensional space. It presents an exemplary model of the decisions that play a role in the planning and execution of a moderately complex graffiti mission. The fields represent premises, conditions and external circumstances that are constantly shifting, influencing one another and continually redefining their relationships – both in individual actions and collectively. The ultimate result – the final image when painting graffiti – depends on a multitude of factors, ranging from preparations and experience to influences beyond one’s own control.
